Hans Joachim Jaehnichen

SciFi & Fantasy Artwork by Hans Joachim Jaehnichen

Hans -Joachim Jähnichen is my name, in letters written as in Germany where I am born in the town of Dresden (Saxony) at June 1933. A place full of art of every kind. - Do you remember the President of USA Barack Obama visited this place in June 2009.- For me only 7 years it was possible to life there. But in my heart and mind I keep to be a "Dresdner", and so I kept lifelong my interests to arts: drawing, painting, architecture and music. Since my ninth year I like to use pencil paper and colours, also besides my professions as a teacher in economics and using commercial computers. Since 1965 I live near Bonn (from 1949-1989 the capital of the Federal republic of Germany). With our caravan we visited most of the middle and western europeen countries from Sweden to Sicilia, GB and Poland included.

Heya Hans, 2 I read your comment in correspondence to mine and Brandys.

Here are some abbreviations:
Lol- laugh out load.
Woops!- Is an expression like Yippie! or a form of excitement expressed in a word. 2 Or it could be a form of error or mistake.
Cuz- is because.
Yaz- yeah or ’you know?’
U- is ’you’.
Tehe- is a laugh writen down like an onomatopeia, I.e: Crash, woof, etc.
Btw: is by the way...

And yeah, U got a good chance that i’ve made another mistake with his name again, lol. Klavs was probably Klaus.

Brandy would probably repeat everythin I’ve justsaid or get there first so there u go. 14

Hey Jochen, how are ya? Ya, you’re doing a great job with your art, I’m loving seeing your characters ^_^
Okay so the expressions: many of these are either shortened words or abbreviations to make talking easier, yeah, I was very confused when I first saw these to:
cuz-a shortening of the word ’because’
yaz-a more ’fancy’ way of saying ya or yeah, it is becoming more common on the internet lately to add the letter ’s’ or sometimes ’z’ at the end of some words, for some reason. Just a fad I guess
dunno-a merging of ’don’t know.’ So "I don’t know" becomes "I dunno."
LOL-an abbreviation for "Laugh out loud."
Woops-like oops, acknowledges making a mistake
u-uses the letter for how it sounds, means ’you.’
soz-lol I kinda forget that one, but I think like ’yaz’ it’s just the word ’so’ with the letter ’z’ added for the effect
tene...hmm, actually, I don’t know that one either, sorry8 Oh okay Heather got that one for me, thanx Heather now I kno too!!! ^_^
btw-an abbreviation for ’by the way’
Hope this helps! Feel free to ask about any other weird phrases I may use ^_^

Oh wow, that’s so cool about the origin of Klaus, I don’t hear that name often, but I always loved that name! Thanks for letting me know that bit, that’s awesome!!! Take care! 2

Have you ever thought of writing something about the Sileni? They seem to live an interesting life...

Hello again Joachim, I’m glad you’ve found elfwood and published your Sileni pictures online. I looked up Sileno in Google and found referenced to Silenus, the friend and foster father(?) of Bacchus.

I’m very interested in ancient myths and legends, particularly from Greece. I had been thinking of your Sileni more as Satyrs or Nymphs than centaurs, who traditionally have a four footed form. I’ve tried writing a story about a centaur but I didn’t finish it. It was to be a young adult yarn about a young irresponsible daredevil centaur who would eventually grow up to be Chiron, the tutor of Achilles.

Joachim, I am so pleased to have someone read my texts! Perhaps we could get together some time and talk about art, mythology and philosophy. Are you on yahoo messenger or facebook? I’ll see if I can send you an email
